I am anti-abortion and pro-life. I vote for life, because I cannot be a part of killing babies. However, I am also pro-choice, because choice is God ordained.
God’s words of instruction through His servant, Moses, tells the hearer to choose “life or death; blessing or curse; good or evil; prosperity or adversity” (Deuteronomy 30:15-20). And through Joshua, we are advised to choose whom we will serve, whether God as Lord, or the gods of the land – those of the world around us (Joshua 24:15).
Those who choose The Lord God follow in His ways, choosing life, blessing, good, and prosperity. Denying His Lordship chooses the ways of the world to walk in death, curse, evil, and adversity. The greatest good of humankind is as filthy rags to a Holy God. The scale of good and evil is God’s scale, not man’s, thus the need to choose God or not god.
We cannot remove choice from people. It is their God given right to choose whom they will serve. Our responsibility as choosers of God is, not to remove choice, but to give people the information needed for wise and discerning choices. Let them know their options and how each leads to life and blessing, or death’s curse.
